Production and Processing Process

Saline uses seawater as raw material, a renewable and inexhaustible resource. The sea water is taken from the river Mossoró and pumped into a sequence of evaporators and concentrators, solar evaporation which gradually increases the concentration of salts to the point where the brine is saturated with sodium chloride. At this moment is transferred to the crystallizer where the salt precipitation occurs before there crystallization of salts which may contaminate the product.


This crystallized salt is then harvested, washed to remove impurities and stored in batteries and is ready to be enjoyed and presenting the following average composition:
